Mission

SportStudies is an independent research center on sport policy and governance in Ukraine and Europe. We work so that decisions in sport — public and private — are grounded in data.

What we do

We describe the state of sport: laws, budgets, organisations, participation and results. We also explain the principles of sport policy and governance to the people who shape decisions.

Principles

• Traceability. Any figure should be checkable against the document it came from.
• Data before judgement. Evidence and judgement are different things, and the reader should see which is which.
• Plain language. A text on policy should be clear to readers outside the field.
• Two languages. Ukrainian and English readers should get the same material.
