Ukraine's trajectory across all sports — World Championships, Europeans, federation rankings

A bird’s-eye view of Ukraine’s competition results across every sport we’ve completed a results backfill for. Each row aggregates a sport’s best place per year (from World Championships, falling back to Europeans, then federation rankings) over 1991–2025.

Sports group into four buckets: mostly declining, stable strong, stable weak, and mostly improving. When events within a sport diverge (some improving, some declining), the sport appears in two rows — one for each direction, with a count of how many events fall into each.

Olympic results are intentionally excluded from this view (they’ll get their own dashboard). This page is about what happens in non-Olympic years and the long-run trajectory.

Methodology. Only sports flagged done in docs/results-progress.md appear here. Trends are built on World Championship results (with a few specific exceptions): each sport's primary signal is chosen by priority — WC place (type 171) → Euro division tier (type 179, for team sports with a division system) → WC division tier (type 175) → federation ranking (type 173, for sports like sailing). Olympic Games (Summer and Winter) are fully excluded from this page — a separate Olympic dashboard is planned. Trend slope = least-squares regression of the primary metric vs year (positive = declining, negative = improving). When events within a sport diverge, the row splits into improving + declining sub-rows. Expand any row to see individual events.
